Guests & Visitors
We completely understand that plans can change!
Overnight guests:
Everyone staying overnight must be added to the reservation for safety and compliance with our Town of Lancaster permit.
Visiting guests:
If you plan to have visitors at the property during the day, please message us in advance with details about the visit (number of guests and approximate time).
Unregistered Guest Fee:
If the reservation is not updated to include overnight guests, an additional fee of $50 per person, per night may apply.
A portion of this fee is donated to a local conservation group that helps preserve the Lancaster area’s natural beauty.
If your plans change—don’t worry! We’re flexible and happy to help with any updates.
Heating & Cooling
Our home offers flexible heating and cooling so each space can be adjusted for your comfort.
BEDROOM HEATING & COOLING
- Window AC units are installed from late spring through early fall. Each bedroom has its own unit for individual temperature control.
- Operation: The AC units are controlled directly on the unit.
- Switching to Heat:
- When an AC unit is turned on, heat to that room is automatically disabled.
- To use heat instead, turn off the AC unit.
- Use the white wall thermostat to activate heat (turn off Away Mode and set your desired temperature).
DINING ROOM & LIVING SPACE HEATING & COOLING
The main window AC unit in the dining room cools the open dining and living area during warmer months.
- When this AC unit is turned on, the central heat system will automatically turn off. (Bedrooms will not receive heat while the central heat is off.)
- To cool the main area: set the central thermostat to "Off," then adjust the temperature directly on the dining room AC unit.
- To heat the home: turn off the window AC unit and switch the main thermostat to "Heat."

Respect The Property
Please treat our home with the same care and respect you would your own.
Be mindful of furniture, appliances, and décor to help keep everything beautiful for future guests.
Shoes off inside
To help keep the home clean and comfortable, we ask that guests remove their shoes indoors.
Hot Tub Care
Please replace the cover when the hot tub is not in use to maintain cleanliness and temperature.
Enjoy responsibly—children must be supervised at all times, and no glass is permitted in or around the hot tub.
Pets
Pets are welcome!
Please have pets use the back area of the property for bathroom breaks and clean up promptly after them.
No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted indoors.
If you smoke outside, please do so safely and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.
Trash & Recycling
- Indoor bins: Located in the kitchen and bathrooms.
- Outdoor bins: When full, transfer bagged trash and recyclables to the designated outdoor bins near the wood shed.
Please keep lids closed to deter wildlife.
TV
Our Roku TVs are set up in Guest Mode to protect your privacy and make streaming easy:
1. Turn on the TV with the remote.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your preferred streaming apps.
3. Set your sign-out date—your accounts will automatically log out when your stay ends.
